BIOS SkyBlue™ Tunable Circadian Lighting provides biologically optimized lighting for spaces that operate before 7am, after 7pm, or overnight, where people do not sleep. SkyBlue™ Tunable adapts throughout the day—offering a 490nm high melanopic spectrum during the day and dimming to a low melanopic 2700K spectrum in the evening.

Lighting Controls

  • Two-channel control: intensity and spectrum are controlled independently.
  • Does not use a BIOS Bio-Dimming™ Module
  • Uses: standard 2-channel LED drivers and standard dimming interfaces/protocols (0-10V, DMX, Wireless, DALI, Lutron).
  • Single-channel control: BIOS Biological Tunable Light Engines must be paired with the BIOS Bio-Dimming™ Module
  • Allows intensity and spectrum to be controlled together.

What is SkyBlue™
Tunable Circadian Lighting?

SkyBlue™ Tunable delivers biologically effective daytime lighting while enabling a smooth transition to circadian-friendly evening light. Unlike mood or color-changing systems meant for visual effect, BIOS Tunable Lighting provides true biological and cognitive impact, modulating circadian stimulus based on time of day.

BIOS Linear Arrays, Tape Light, and COBs are available in SkyBlue™ 3000K, SkyBlue™ 3500K, and SkyBlue™ 4000K and can operate with either single-channel or dual-channel control.

SkyBlue™ Tunable is perfect for 24-hour occupied spaces where biological light cues are still essential for mood, focus, and alertness. This approach is ideal for senior living, hospitality, and residential spaces where light comfort and circadian wellness are both critical.
